Ideally, we prefer working in a flat driveway. This gives us a controlled environment where we can set up our pressure washers and vacuums safely. If you must park on the street, please ensure there is enough room for our mobile rig to park safely next to or behind your vehicle without blocking traffic.
SHADE IS YOUR FRIEND
If it’s a hot Illinois summer day in Champaign or Urbana, shade is a detailer’s best friend. Direct sunlight causes water and cleaning chemicals to dry almost instantly on the paint, which can lead to “water spotting.” If you have a garage we can work in, or a shady spot under a tree (that isn’t dropping sap!), your paint will thank you.
DOOR CLEARANCE
We need to be able to open all four doors of your vehicle fully. If you are parked in a tight garage, please pull the car out slightly so we have 3-4 feet of “swing room” on all sides.
3. ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE
It sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how often a mobile car detailing appointment is delayed because the detailer can’t get inside!
- Keys: Ensure your keys are accessible. You don’t necessarily need to be present for the entire detail, but we need the keys to move the seats, roll windows down, and occasionally move the car if needed.
- Air Suspension / Alarms: If your car has a sensitive alarm system or adjustable air suspension, please let us know so we can handle it properly during the wash process.
4. WATER AND POWER: DO WE NEED YOURS?

However, if you live in a strictly noise-controlled neighborhood or an apartment complex with tight restrictions, let us know. In some rare cases, plugging into a standard 110v outlet allows us to work even more quietly. But for 95% of our jobs in Mahomet, Savoy, or Tolono, we are completely “off-grid.”
